All right, if Dialga has truly returned, perhaps there is some slight chance for revival. Unless, of course, we don't even try. Guess it's a good thing I decided to feel notsalgic today, eh?
All right, this is hands down an amazing anime, and my personal favorite. Between the characters, the humor works, and the story which actually does manage to pick up despite it's shonenish nature, great stuff. Favorite character, besides the obvious Simon, would have to be Kittan, who has to live in Kamina's shadow, yet still manages to pull off greatness. I always found it cooler post-timeskip when the story focused on him.
Kamina also deserves mention, given his greatness. Who the heck do you think I am indeed.
Nia, who allowed for episode 11 to happen, I applaud thee. Stupid ending...
And last but greatest is Simon, who's growth throughout the series from a coward to a hero, to a humble wanderer makes for an amazing journey. His struggles and triumphs made this series truly amazing.
So yeah, anyone else? Namely, PT, since we're the only one's who come here anymore.

Ugh, my friends have all been bothering me to finish this anime since sooo long ago.
But I haven't. I'm on like episode six. =.=
I'll finish it someday though. It's okay so far, but I gave up because for some reason, it just sounded kind of ridiculous at one point....
... then again, what manga or anime isn't, right?

It gets a lot better really soon. When you enjoy it for its haminess, it gets better, and then after episode 8, it loses the Monster of the Week formula and fights based on Rule of Cool and Rule of Funny, and gets amazingly better. Better enough to unseat Fullmetal Alchemist and Cowboy Bebop as my favorite.
That's kind of freaky odd that you've cut off at the exact same spot as a friend I talked to today and has said the same thing as you.
