Metroids are extinct. SR388 is destroyed. Phazon is no longer a threat. The secret of the Alimbic Cluster has been revealed.

Question is, where now? How does the Metroid  series progress? It's a major franchise for Nintendo, I do not doubt  they will continue it, but it will need a completely new direction. So I guess this is a thread to discuss where the series will go.

A an idea might be a sequel to Fusion. After all, BSL had some pretty shady stuff going on in their station, with the seeming approval of the Galactic Federation. Perhaps Samus takes it upon herself to investigate? And if even the GF are against her, she truly is alone....
