Zahn was definitely the best, with both his trilogy and duology, but there are some other good ones, like Stackpole, Anderson, and Allston. The dude who wrote the duology about Barris Offee as a healer in the Clone Wars wasn't that good though. Nothing really happened the whole book. Best is Thrawn though. I haven't read any of the books in a long time, but I was planning on rereading the Thrawn Trilogy. Oh, and that one about a year before the Thrawn trilogy with Han proposing to Leia was really good too.

I like the Republic Commando ones. But, back on topic.

Mass Effect = AMAZING

Seriously deep, and its a third person shooter RPG. Bonus points!!

+ force like powers and 8 different endings.

Wasn't Mass Effect based on Knights of the Old Republic but without the Star Wars characters?

Sort of. It expanded greatly on the genre. It also was real time, rather than turn-based.

KoToR was kinda real-time. The exchange of attacks wasn't, but movement and crap was.
