The Monster Hunter series. I put up a thread about it already.
Ratchet and Clank was pretty good though. As are the Halo games. I haven't really played enough Final Fantasy to give that much input on it.

I got FFIII for DS, and that was so-so. Add that to my constant shortage of cash, and voila! No game without more information!! I'm too lazy to look it up on my own. Of course, the guys choose FPSs.
Hey, MH is not a FPS. Well, most of the time it isn't. But I suppose you could still count it as one, since you're swinging a giant sword all over the place.... |

Which is what Harry Potter, Eragon and tons others were. I know RTS is different from FPS, but guys like it all the same. -.- |

Starcraft Broodwar - go figure.
Half-Life 2 - one of the best plots ever with great gameplay and code
Portal - just fun
And yes. We guys tend to enjoy seeing blood splatter. It is the best stress reliever there is.
