Here are the two covers I've designed for the Official Nintendo Magazine UK, as part of their mock cover competition. The second is a joke one which I will explain.

Basically, ONM UK have had a redesign recently. They used to have simple covers but since this redesign they've been cramped. So the second cover is mocking this direction. (Chandra is the editor BTW)

Hrm...
Well, what I would suggest is erasing the white parts better, or blurring those parts...
But then again, you only have paint.
But filling them with color should be good, no?
And the characters are too blurry, wii mote for wario should be turned a bit, and you might wanna change your text font and stuff like that.
Good ideas though.

Well...I hate to say it but the photoshop is to well... easy to spot in every corner... Wario was well blended in but mario wasn't. Shrinking the pictures ruined it.    Not to mention the wii nunchuck is twice the size of the wiimote in mario's hands >.>.  Nice try though.

And I didn't see a mention of star fox wii in E3 waaaaaaaaaa  Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry
However the animal crossing looked cool with wii speak, CoD will be boss, and I can't wait for the upgrade for the wii mote and Wii Sports Resort!

I made the second cover before E3 came around. Obviously it was wrong, and I'm aware that Mario doesn't blend in.

I had to shrink the pictures so it would fit on the cover so that kind of ruined it

I tried to fill in as many white parts as I could and I realise I've missed some spots  but my computer time is limited and I wanted to get it in when the comp opened. If I'd spent a bit longer on it I might have made it into the magazine.

E3 was a bit of a disaster for Nintendo this year. It seems they have abandoned the **** as no news of **** 1st party games were announced and Reggie thought that AC was a **** game.

What he said about there being a big game at E3 probably got my hopes up though which is why I mentioned Star Fox Wii.

Yea I was disappointed at a lack of Star Fox wii.  Still Animal Crossing City Folk wasn't that bad.  Even though it was a disaster for Nintendo, its kinda there style  Tongue

Aha.
Well, if you don't spend enough time on something, it'll never come out right.
^_^ Anyways, yeah, paint is the only tool you need. Photoshop and stuff like that just make things easier. ^_^

I don't know anything about E3.... ._. I missed something, didn't I?

*Animal Crossing City Folk confirmed w/ WiiSpeak device for this year
*device for Wii mote to make it more precise and Wii SPort Resort for next year
*some stupid stuff for DS (GTA,GH,stuff)
*WiiMusic for this year
*Snowboarding game for Wii

some other junk that I might've forgotten

I realise that. When I first started the cover I assumed that the background for Wario and Mario's images would be the same at the top which is why Wario blends in but Mario doesn't.
