Mine personally was Hunters on DS. It had varied characters for once, some interestinw weapons and alt forms, and the graphics were amazing. Good gameplay, and tough computer AI.

My favorite was Metroid Prime 3. It was very cinematic and the appearences of extra hunters that aided you for a while made it all the more interesting. Its a shame they only helped you for a time...The areas from the exotic Bryyo to the homes in the sky made the game quite fun to explore.

My favorite part of the game is when you have to escort those demolition troopers to the gate that guards the seed of the Pirate Homeworld. Its tons of fun battleling your way through hordes of space pirates then facing the Commander at the end!

When you do finish it, try to get 100% in items. That will trigger a special ending that are only for the players eyes to see. The movie for you will be a big surprise.

Most of the prime series has some kind of song or remix from either Metroid or Super Metroid. It makes for a nice little surprise.

Super Metroid, but only because I haven't played Echoes or Corruption.

I've never been a big fan of the Metroid franchise, are the games worth buying?

Oh yeah! The games especially the prime series are worth every penny. To me, Metroid beats Final Fantasy with its huge and colorfully detailed worlds, hundereds of enemies await you to be fough and nifty puzzles just wait to be solved. The story line is very complex and interesting and the gameplay is very smoothe as well as the controls. Back in the year Metroid Prime was released...it won "Best game of the year" at the video game awards.
