A new movie here in germany that just started
I went there today and it's all right. I like the demon idea with the animals and I really like the witches. I wish the main character could be a bit older though...and it might be stupid for boys since it's a girl.
Ah well...what do you guys think about the movie?

What I don't understand is why everyone in the world bitches about a movie because it has witches and the likes. Witches aren't a servant of Satan. They worship the earth and the spirits. I should know, I have a friend who's Wiccan. Not everyone in the world is Christian, and there ARE some open-minded Christians out there. I'm one of them. I believe there are other gods out there. One of the ten commandments says 'Worship no other god but me' which hints at that. It's hard to believe, even though he IS a god, that he's the only one that's worked on creating this world. I'm sure there are a few atheists on this forum, and any Christians that are reading this, I apologize.

Yeah, I understand that. But, even though I'm Christian, I don't believe that everything in the bible is right. The bible wasn't first recorded until several thousand years after Jesus' death. So you can be sure that a lot of information in there is inaccurate. I'm scientific before I'm Christian. And I believe more in evolution than the fact that god created man. I'm rambling now and making myself sounds stupid so I'm gonna shut up xD

^nice And who's to say god didn't make monkeys, and then decided a group wasn't going to evole? I'm rather scientific too, and I say fanatics who say caveman never existed are crazy...

^Its based off a book, and (atleast the book) isn't suppose to be childish... I hated the advertising because at fist I ALWAYS thought it was the hobbit And if it WAS the hobbit I wouldn't have to read it now...

I don't get what you mean by you thought it was the hobbit. Then again, I don't get a lot of things.
Yeah, I'm... Catholic? I think... I'm not very religious though. Heck, I don't go to church. Really, I'm a bad person. But then again, I don't think God exists. See, I'm more of a scientistical person... =P Not a word~

I read the book a long time ago without percieving the 'un-Christian' parts. It is not so much about, I think, Christianity as a religion as it is a criticism directed towards the idea of letting the church have too much power, as was the case back during, for example, the Reformation. Most people who react too strongly to it are also hypocrites, I think -- why did they not react like that when Narnia was made a movie? If they think it is bad that a movie has a religious bent in one direction or another, why should then Narnia get to pass but not The Golden Compass?
